This here story begins on Friday November 19, 2010 at approximately 3:45pm.
Grace walked into Mrs. Barger's English class and saw on the board that Julius Caesar Mind Maps were due Monday. "Oh no," thought Grace, "I haven't started yet!" Now, being the great student that she is, she hopped to and started the second she got home.
>>RE-WRITE
Grace waited until Sunday night at 11-ish to start because she is the absolute worst about procrastinating aaaaaand decided to bake cookies instead of doing homework.
She worked diligently to finish at a respectable, for her standards, hour. Every thing was working out perfectly. She was writing and thinking and quote searching at top speed, full steam ahead. Until it was 1am did she remember that Mrs. Christian's map was due TOMORROW MORNING AT 2ND PERIOD! She freaked out! She was so stressed and tired that she started to whimper. Yes, whimper. All Grace could think was, "I want to go to BED!" She worked some more and worked some more until she was as finished as she could be for the night considering all energy reserves were the emptiest of empty. Progress had been made, yes, but enough? That is questionable. At this point she had completed 4.5 Mind Map questions, 1/3 of the drawing, and all of the map except coloring Eastern Europe. She then packed up her backpack with an extra pencil bag with all of the colored pencils. Grace closed her eyes and went to sleep.
Hold on now readers, the story has only just begun.
The next morning Grace woke up at the butt crack of 7:30(I know, I know. That's not Veeery early but it is for me!) and began her day. She wore her wonderful tye-dye shirt, blue-jeans, and Pumas, with her hair in a beautiful braid. She left the house with:
- a backpack, with an extra pencil bag in it because of Mind Maps and Europe Maps
- a lunch box
- a purse
- a jacket
- a clarinet
- and FOUR textbooks( the two that she normally lugs around plus the two that were helping her complete Mind Maps and the Europe Map)
She was excited to arrive to school because Leah had her music, which she had happened to misplace... So, she arrived at the band hall and promptly started to apply the finishing touches to her Europe Map when one of her friends walked in and asks "Hey Grace, will you please help me with my Chemistry homework?" WHAT??? Chemistry homework??? What is this you speak of?? That's right. She forgot to do THAT homework too!!! *Siiiiiiiiigh..........* "Ok, I'll help you," She said in a very disgruntled manner. As they raced to finish THAT homework too, the bell rang and only the E. M. was completed.
So begins 1st period. Speech Class.
Grace walked to the door and saw that the latest edition of "The Dragon Echo" was out. She was so tired that she could only give enough effort to bend over and pick one up(as of now, she still hasn't read a word of it). She walked in the door and there he was... Dun dun DUN! Mr. Ellis was back. Ugg. (Mr. Ellis is the student teacher who had left a few days earlier and was back to make our lives miserable only re-incarnated as a sub instead of a student teacher). Class passed quickly but there was no work to be done so Grace worked on M.M., completed another 1/3 of the drawing portion, and finished her Chemistry homework.
The bell rang and it was time for 2nd period: World History PAP with Mrs. Christian.
She was all ready turn in the map until she saw the words, plain as day, on the board "Map Test TODAY" Seriously?!?!?!? Are you joking!? Is this yet another thing that Grace forgot about?? Why, yes. yes it was.
She studied as much as she could in the brief 5 minutes that the students were granted and only missed 2 questions that she knows about...
In third period (Haseldon's Chemistry PAP), she had to text Corynn and remind her to bring baby pictures because it was a topic of a long discussion on Saturday. The students turned in their homework and review for the next day's test.
Fourth period was band and considering that they were now separated into the loser band and the Symphonic Band it was going to be much better. Well, to start off, She got her BUFFET!!!!!!!!!!! Woot! She didn't get the one she wanted because it mysteriously disappeared. I know what you're thinking, and no, she was NOT the one responsible! At the end of band, she was faced with a conundrum. "Where can I keep my lunch, History textbook, AND TWO clarinets?" she thought. Thankfully, Mr. wells was feeling gracious and let her keep one clarinet on the ground outside of her locker.
Fifth period was advisory and lunch. She ate in advisory for preparation of the unveiling of The Baby Photos. Eeeeee!!! Babies are so cute!! She was laughing so much at pictures, however, that she didn't get to work on M.M.
Sixth period was Spanish class where there was a... get ready for it.... TEST SHE FORGOT ABOUT!! How was all of this happening?? Was she experiencing some obscure form of Amnesia? Probably. Anyway, the test wasn't too difficult and she was able to finish in time to do 1.5 M.M. questions, and the last 1/3 of the drawing. This left exactly 2 M.M. questions left.
7th period had arrived. She was so loopy that when the teacher said that this certain type of equation was called a depressed polynomial she couldn't help but burst out laughing. She later asked the teacher if she'd ever tried to cheer it up. :D She also combined two of the worst jokes ever into one fantastical math minded joke: "Q: Why was the polynomial depressed? A: Because Seven ate Nine!" BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. No.
8th period. Judgement hour. This was the period the M.M. were due. She had completed everything except for two problems. She finished them, turned them in then gave a sigh of relief. For the rest of class she listened to James recite his Antony speech in the various different voice prompts she gave him. She couldn't stop laughing. Then, Mrs. Barger gave us an assignment that required another textbook.
She left school today with:
- a backpack
- a lunch box
- a purse
- a jacket
- TWO clarinets
- and FIVE textbooks
Now I know that this was long and extensive way of saying that I had an exhausting day. But seriously. I had an exhausting day!! I'm so tired :(
At this point in the day I have eaten dinner and am now waiting for 8'o'clock to roll around so I can have a clarinet lesson then go home and GO TO SLEEP.
