Last May, Daddy bought himself a new Jeep Wrangler; the car he's wanted for a long time and the car he would say would be his mid-life crisis. This past week, we have been on our summer trip to Colorado. We made it a road trip... in the Jeep. The greatest part about it is, whenever you pass another person in a Jeep, they wave to you because you too are in a Jeep. It's a Jeep thing. Every time I was driving, I felt SOOOO cool waving to other Jeep owners and sharing Jeep pride. It's a cult of Jeepers! Haha!
Here's the skinny on our trip: We started our trip and spent the first night in Amarillo, TX. We went on the next day to Denver, CO and stopped in Colorado Springs at the United States Air Force Academy. I had seen the Chapel there before but it was actually open this time so we saw inside it too!
We ate dinner at a place called Pizza Fusion in Denver.

The Next morning we went to Estes Park and stayed there for 2 days and toured around there (where I bought peach saltwater taffy-next blog post). Then we left Estes Park by way of Trail Ridge Road. The next stop was a little town called Nathrop where there is this little hot springs resort called Mount Princeton, where they lost our reservation :/. A few miles up the road there is this trail that is reaaaallly rocky and treacherous which is mainly for motorcycles, ATV's and...wait for it...Jeeps. So, naturally, we rode our nice little Jeep up the road in 4 low. It was so much fun! The next day we headed back home and spent the night at a verrry smoky Super 8 in Trinidad, CO. The next day we headed to Abilene to spend the night and visit with our cousins! Then, here we are, home again home again jiggity jig!
